Video - Djokovic and Alcaraz exchange 33 shots on break point at the Australian Open

On Tuesday, Novak Djokovic defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open 2025.
After a battle lasting over 3h30, the Serb won in four sets (4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4) to join Alexander Zverev in the final.
In the fourth set, the struggling Alcaraz came close to conceding a double break. Trailing 4 games to 2, the 21-year-old Spaniard had to save a break point.
At the end of an intense, colossal 33-shot rally, Djokovic was at fault, and both men were treated to a standing ovation from Rod Laver Arena (see video below).
A point that could have made all the difference, as Alcaraz eventually held his serve and in the next game, the four-time Grand Slam winner had two break points to pull within 4 games.
Alcaraz's hopes were short-lived, however, as Djokovic eventually held on to his set to go through.
