Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton will face off in Washington around 1 a.m., French time. The two friends will battle for a spot in the semifinals.

In a press conference, Tiafoe appeared eager and excited to take on Shelton: "I'm thrilled. We're really good friends. We played an amazing match last year at the US Open.

I think it was the best tennis we've ever played. He's a great player, a great friend of mine. We spend time together off the court.

I love this guy, but tomorrow, obviously, we won't be friends. We're going to try to beat the hell out of each other, and the crowd will love it.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.
