With eight days to go until the start of the Australian Open, the final preparation tournaments are revealing their draws.

In Adelaide, the draw for the WTA 500 was made this Saturday and unveiled the path awaiting the top seeds.

Pegula and Keys Learn Their Fate

For this 2026 edition, Jessica Pegula will be the No. 1 seed. The American could have a tough start with a potential clash against Paula Badosa. She is also in the same quarter as Clara Tauson, who will begin against Ajla Tomljanovic.

In the bottom half of the draw, Madison Keys will start her title defense against Jelena Ostapenko or a qualifier, before a possible quarterfinal against young Victoria Mboko.

Blockbusters from the First Round

The first round will feature highly enticing matchups on paper, such as the showdown between Mirra Andreeva, the No. 3 seed, and Leylah Fernandez. Daria Kasatkina, the top Australian seed, will have to get past Maria Sakkari, while Emma Navarro will face wildcard Emerson Jones, aged 17.

Hello I'm new

I am surprised about relatively low attendance at Roland Garros which was the most popular slam 20+ years ago. I myself love it as well as really loving aus and us opens. I don't care about Wimbledon, sometimes maybe I can watch women's tennis. I hate Wimbledon's white dress code, I feel like I am watching junior tennis...I watched very few matches like Graf davenport final in 1999 the last time.....
