Camila Giorgi got a nine month ban by Italian Tennis Federation for refusing to play the Fed Cup Play-Offs tie against Spain in April last year. Giorgi also got fined by 30.000 euros too.

Due to this ban she won't be able to take part to National activities owned by the Federation. We don't know many details about it at the moment, they will be revealed within ten days.

Giorgi is not the First Italian player to get banned: nine years ago in 2008 Simone Bolelli refused to play the Davis Cup tie between Italy and Latvia and got a rehabilitation.

Bolelli came back to play the team competition a few years after and is now one of symbol of the team. Will it be the same for Giorgi? At the moment it seems it won't be like this.
