First Wild-Cards for the Australian Open Announced

With the 2025 season now over, the first names of the wild-cards for the Australian Open have already been announced.

The Australian Open, which will take place from January 12 to February 1, has announced the first players who will receive a wild-card. Winners of the Asia-Pacific playoff tournament, Yunchaokete Bu and Zarina Diyas will avoid the qualifiers in Melbourne.

As part of the agreement between the American and Australian Federations, Patrick Kypson and Elizabeth Mandlik are the two American players invited.

The first two Australian wild-cards are also known: winners of the Australian Pro Tour, a race established in 2025 by the Australian Federation to reward Australian players for their performance in local tournaments in November, James Duckworth and Emerson Jones are invited to Melbourne.
