While everyone believed Stefanos Tsitsipas was guilty of a record speeding offense, the case took a twist: the driver was none other than his father, Apostolos Tsitsipas.

The information had gone viral on social media. About ten days ago, Stefanos Tsitsipas was caught by a speed camera on a highway in Greece at over 210 km/h.

However, the case took an unexpected turn: the 27-year-old player, a two-time Grand Slam finalist, was not at the wheel of his Lotus that day. As his lawyer had clarified, another person was driving the vehicle.

Tsitsipas was on vacation in Africa

The Greek media Protothema reveals that it was actually Apostolos Tsitsipas, the father and coach of the former world No. 3, who committed this speeding offense. He presented himself at the police station to explain the situation and tried to hand over his own license to the authorities.

But Apostolos Tsitsipas had exceeded the legal deadline to contest the penalty. Result: the license suspension will still apply… but to his son, for a period of one year.

At the time of the incident, Stefanos Tsitsipas was thousands of kilometers away, having taken a vacation in Africa.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.

What a finish this is.. I believe King has used his boost for today. Skelp is closing strong. Two wins and he claims 1st if I lose my last prediction.

Gonna be difficult with only 2 pointers to choose from.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

How about leavin...
