"I am convinced that this project will be a success": Rafa Nadal Academy to open a new complex in South America in 2028
Having been retired for a year, Rafael Nadal, an absolute tennis legend, can now fully devote himself to all his many projects. Among them is the Rafa Nadal Academy. While it was founded in 2016 when the Majorcan was still active, it has since continued to expand internationally, training several players such as Carlos Alcaraz, Casper Ruud, Jaume Munar, Martin Landaluce, and Alexandra Eala, among others.
The Rafa Nadal Academy is coming to Brazil!
For several years, the Rafa Nadal Academy has expanded to different continents. Thus, many Rafa Nadal Academy tennis centers have opened in Europe (Greece), Asia (Kuwait, Hong Kong), Africa (Egypt), and North America (Mexico, Dominican Republic).
But that's not all, as it will also inaugurate in the coming years a first tennis center in South America, specifically in Porto Belo, Brazil. The details of this new project are already known. This new Rafa Nadal Academy complex will include 17 tennis courts (six clay and eleven hard courts).
There will also be eight padel courts, a cafeteria, a shop dedicated to sports equipment, and a gym reserved for players and visitors, according to information gathered by Marca in recent hours. The opening of this new Rafa Nadal Academy center is scheduled for the end of 2028.
"There is a great passion for sport in Brazil"
Programs tailored to the needs of everyone will be available, from children to adults: "We are thrilled that the international expansion of the academy is reaching South America. There is a great passion for sport in Brazil, and I am convinced that this project will be a success," Nadal reacted.
