Sinner withdraws from Rome due to hip injury!

Sinner withdraws from Rome due to hip injury!

A huge blow for the Italian camp. Jannik Sinner, world number 2 and winner of the last Australian Open, has withdrawn from the Rome Masters 1000. Already forced to withdraw in Madrid (before playing his quarter-final against Felix Auger-Aliassime), the Italian won't be able to defend his chances in the Italian capital.

Clearly very disappointed, the transalpine has just announced the news on his social networks: "It's not easy to write this message, but after speaking again with the doctors and specialists about my hip problems, I have to announce that unfortunately I won't be able to play in Rome. I'm obviously very sad not to be able to recover, as it's one of my favourite tournaments. I was looking forward to coming back and playing at home in front of the Italian public. I'll be coming to Rome for a few days anyway, and I'll be at the Foro Italico. Thank you for your messages of support, which I really appreciate! Now I'm going to work with my team and the doctors to be ready for Roland Garros."

After Alcaraz's withdrawal and the doubts still hanging over Daniil Medvedev's presence, the Foro Italico is witnessing a veritable cascade of withdrawals.

What arrogance! He is King of Shanks... his backhand is not comparable to his competitors... He lost because he isn't good enough, neither is his humility or sense of humour.
