At Wimbledon, Pouille regains confidence:

At Wimbledon, Pouille regains confidence: "I think I'm on the right track".

As he attempts to reach the final draw at Wimbledon this Thursday, Lucas Pouille was rather confident at his press meeting.

A former world No. 10, the Frenchman, currently ranked 213th in the world, is starting to rediscover a satisfactory level of play.

At the age of 30, he seems at last to have regained solid physical condition. After winning the title at Mauthausen, he quickly put aside his elimination in the first qualifying round of the French Open to arrive in London with a knife between his teeth.

Like last year, he will be playing in the final qualifying round, and this time hopes to secure his ticket to the Grand Tableau.

Following victories over Pinnington Jones (6-0, 6-3) and Jiri Vesely (7-6, 6-2), he will now attempt to overcome his compatriot Luca Van Assche (101st).

In a statement relayed by L'Équipe, a smiling Pouille spoke of his next objectives: "Without being pretentious, I really think that if I stay healthy, there's a good chance of seeing me in the draw at the Australian Open.

In my quest to come back, I think I'm on the right track."

It was a fantastic match and Grigor played extremely good at the time but the force that turned the match was very visual and spelled Nadal. Winning over Rafa in a slam has proven a near impossible ta

I thought Dimitrov had the potential to be a consistent challenge to the top players when he was an 'up and coming' player. At times he played some very high level tennis, but not consistently, not m

Berrettini is 5% of the old Berrettini from a few years ago. Anyone saying that Sinner got a hard draw is wrong. Berrettini may not even play against Sinner

Leylah Fernandez was really ungracious at the US Open final with Emma Raducanu, when Emma cut her leg. It hasn’t been forgotten!!

I agree, the fact that he pulled of a five setter shows what level he had at the time, especially considering that Rafa didn't play bad. I don't think that Grigor choked in that match. The match was a
