Cazaux's impressive collapse in the middle of a match in Miami!

There was a moment of panic on Court 2 in Miami when Arthur Cazaux suffered an impressive collapse while playing Harold Mayot in the 1st qualifying round. The 21-year-old Frenchman was leading 2 games to 1 in the 3rd set, 30-30 on his opponent's serve, when he collapsed before lying lifeless on the floor. He was probably a victim of the heat (30°C in Miami on Monday, and 70% humidity).

The tournament doctor quickly intervened and Cazaux was eventually evacuated in a wheelchair. He obviously withdrew from the match, leaving his compatriot to qualify for the 2nd round.

Harold Mayot: "He hadn't been feeling well for several games and was starting to cramp up. I didn't see him fall and thought he'd laid down because he was cramping. When I realized it was serious, I immediately went to him and was very worried. I did everything I could to help. There's nothing but friendship and complicity between us, and there always has been."
