Shnaider wins his biggest title yet after a dream run in Bad Homburg!

Diana Shnaider won the 2024 edition of the Bad Homburg Open (WTA 500) on Saturday, the 20-year-old Russian claiming the 2nd and biggest WTA title of her career after lifting the trophy in Hua Hin (WTA 250) last February. In the final, on German grass, she overcame Donna Vekic in just over 2 hours and 3 sets (6-3, 2-6, 6-3).

Shnaider thus confirms her current fine form, which saw her defeat Angelique Kerber (7-5, 6-3) in the first round and Paula Badosa in the quarter-finals (6-3, 7-6). Now it's on to Wimbledon, where she will have her work cut out against Karolina Pliskova.
