Federer on Nadal: "He's someone who really tries to be on the court".
Roger Federer was asked about Rafael Nadal's situation. In comments relayed by Télématin, the Swiss gave his views on the end of his friend and former rival's career. The 'Maestro's' opinion is always interesting to analyze, as he is one of the most listened-to players in the world, given his immense pedigree.
The man with 20 major titles was full of praise for 'Rafa's' main objective of finishing on the courts: "What I see is someone who really tries to be on the court. If he says 'ciao', it'll be on the court and not on the sofa. And I love that, because you can see he's far from 100%. I think it's so personal that he has to choose how he wants to say goodbye. I don't have any information and I hope he'll be able to play for much longer than we think. The question is his body, as he himself says quite honestly."
