Beaten by Machac, Djokovic confesses:

Beaten by Machac, Djokovic confesses: "I don't see myself as a favorite in Paris"

Having come to Geneva to reassure himself, Novak Djokovic didn't exactly fulfill his mission. After two good first matches, he fell back into his old ways on Friday. At the end of a very strange match, in which he was wildly inconsistent (winning 7 games in a row, then conceding 6 in a row), the Serb finally went out, beaten by Machac in the semi-finals (6-4, 0-6, 6-1).

When asked about this rather unreadable setback, the world number 1 made no secret of the fact: "Of course I'm worried. I'm not playing well this year, apart from a few matches here and there. Things are what they are. I don't see myself as a favorite in Paris. I'm going to try to take one game at a time.

Today (Friday) was difficult. I felt terrible in the first part of the match. I don't want to take any credit away from Tomas (Machac), who deserved his victory, but I don't know what to think of this match. I'd rather forget it."

All you need to do to beat Pliskova is get her moving, back & forth, side to side. She is one lazy tennis player
