Korda's defeat gives Alcaraz confidence:

Korda's defeat gives Alcaraz confidence: "I'm feeling better and better".

Carlos Alcaraz is coming into his own. Having arrived in Paris in doubt, he seems to be playing better and better. Visibly less and less bothered about his right arm, the Spaniard is looking to rediscover his very best tennis. After a rather disappointing second round in which he didn't really reassure, 'Carlito' resumed his forward march on Friday.

Faced with a Sebastian Korda who was always dangerous, he played a full match, winning in three sets (6-4, 7-6, 6-3). Although he hasn't necessarily rediscovered his most majestic tennis, he is becoming increasingly consistent and is establishing himself as a serious favourite for the title on Sunday 9th.

As he faces Auger-Aliassime in the last 16 this Sunday, Alcaraz spoke to the press: "I feel incredible. Obviously, I have some very good memories of playing here. Great matches that I've already played. I feel better and better every time I play. The crowd was incredible.

Every day it gets better. I can't wait to play again in week 2 in Paris. I hope I can keep it up for a long time."
