Gracheva, first qualifier for the second round at Wimbledon

Since the French Open, Varvara Gracheva has been at the heart of the French public's attention. A magnificent eighth-finalist in Paris, beating Sakkari in the first round (3-6, 6-4, 6-3), the Frenchwoman kept up her good form on Monday.

Facing Lesia Tsurenko (59th), Gracheva mastered her game perfectly, winning in barely an hour (6-3, 6-1).

Slightly better than her opponent in all areas of the game, she could meet another Ukrainian in the second round, as she will face the winner of the duel between Yastremska and Podoroska.
