Wawrinka, a determined qualifier:

Wawrinka, a determined qualifier: "I see no reason to retire".

Stan Wawrinka is not dead. At the age of 39, the Swiss still offers a very decent level of tennis and continues to say it loud and clear: he loves tennis and sees no reason to stop.

This Monday, he showed it again. Playing against Charles Broom (26, invited by the organizers), the former world No. 3 easily made it through the first round, winning after 1h49 of play (6-3, 7-5, 6-4).

Now approaching 40, Wawrinka is unwavering in his motivation: "I still love what I do, I love tennis, and as long as I have the opportunity to continue playing in the best tournaments in the world, I'll keep going.

Right now, I see no reason to retire, I feel a great passion for what I do and I want to keep working hard to see how far I can go."

Well at the handshake, finally got a good read on Sinners height. He is about the same at Berrettini at 6'5", rather than the 6'2" on TT that was noted while he was still growing.
