Binaghi: "To beat Sinner, you need two Djokovics".

Binaghi: To beat Sinner, you need two Djokovics.

The Australian Open 2025 men's final will pit the top two players in the ATP rankings against each other. Jannik Sinner, world number 1, will face Alexander Zverev, his runner-up.

Both players have put in a perfect performance to reach their third Grand Slam final.

In an interview with Super Tennis, Angelo Binaghi, President of the Italian Tennis Federation, praised Sinner and felt that there was little competition for him in this tournament.

"Jannik can play badly, but to beat Sinner today, you need two Djokovics. He doesn't have any weak points now, he's always perfect.

He has the skill and luck of a champion. At the right moment, he can pull a trick out of his hat. It's a pleasure to watch him play, it's almost boring for his opponents because he's so good.

Against Shelton, it was a walk in the park. He's doing well and he's confident. Now he's really scaring everyone," Binaghi assures us.

Binaghi also commented on Novak Djokovic's assurance that he would be behind Alexander Zverev in the final.

"Ending a career in this way is not very rewarding. Hoping that Sinner's opponent wins, against Jannik who is an exemplary lad....

The statements at the end of the match do him no credit. Winning is hard, but confirming is even harder. Zverev is a great player, and he's coming in fresh.

It will probably be different from previous matches," concluded Binaghi.
