Sinner: "The aim is not just to win for three years".
Jannik Sinner is the best player in the world. After a season of outstanding quality, the Italian ended the year as the undisputed world number 1, with no fewer than 9 titles to his name, including two Grand Slams and the Davis Cup.
Speaking to our Italian colleagues at Il Corriere della sera, Sinner opened up about the year 2024 and the next steps in his career: "We've done some tests to understand what kind of preparation to do, what strategies to use. There are a lot of sacrifices behind it, I'm only 23, not 27 (like Verstappen) and I've only had this season at the top.
The aim is not just to win for three years, but to still be in the game when I'm 30. This season has been incredible, but everything can change.
Looking back, Wimbledon is the tournament where I left the most regrets. I'd played very well right up to the match against Medvedev... That's how it happened, our sport is unpredictable. Next year, we'll see: nobody knows the future."
