Wilander ahead of the Djokovic - Alcaraz clash: "This court is Novak's home".

Tomorrow, all eyes will be on the Rod Laver Arena, where Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz will face off in the quarter-finals, in a clash that everyone has been dreaming of seeing since the draw.

After several epic clashes (Wimbledon 2023, Cincinnati 2023, Olympic Games 2024), the two men will meet for the eighth time in their careers, each with very different objectives.

Djokovic is in search of a 25th Grand Slam, which would put him ahead of the record he currently holds with Margaret Court.

Alcaraz, meanwhile, is hoping to win his first title in Melbourne, to become at 21 the youngest player in history to win all four Grand Slams.

Ahead of this eagerly-awaited encounter, Mats Wilander analyzed Djokovic's chances of victory: "He has a reason to win because he very rarely loses on this court. This is his home, his living room.

He gets more free points and serves better than Alcaraz. I'm not saying he'll win, but those are the two reasons why he could win."
