Boulter sees big things for 2025: "Little things that can take me even higher".
2024 was a successful year for Katie Boulter. The 28-year-old British player won two new WTA Tour titles, in San Diego and Nottingham.
At the beginning of March, she reached the highest ranking of her career (27th) and was able to continue playing tournaments without experiencing any physical problems.
In an interview with Sky Sports, the Leicester native reflects on her season and what she needs to improve in the coming months.
"I'm working very hard every day to put myself in a position where I can avoid injury as much as possible, and I think the credit also goes to my team," she begins.
"I haven't had any injuries this year, but you know anything can happen at any time.
At the same time, it's been a very good season physically and I feel I can only get better. ¨
Tennis is one of those sports where you always have different goals no matter how the season evolves.
I've just had my best year on tour, but there are so many things I want to improve on," Boulter continues.
"I feel there are small details that can take me even higher up the rankings. It's pretty exciting in a way because I feel there's a new goal to reach.
It's another opportunity. It's a place I've never explored before and that's what keeps me on my toes. I'm never full, so that keeps me motivated."
