Jannik Sinner's victory over Taylor Fritz at the Masters has sent the statistics into overdrive. The Italian is now part of a very closed circle with two members of the Big 3.
By winning the Australian Open, the US Open and the Masters in the same season, Sinner joined Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, who were previously the only two players to have achieved this feat.
The Serb managed it twice in 2015 and 2023, and the Swiss three times in 2004, 2006 and 2007.
What's more, he also became the first player since Ivan Lendl in 1986 to win the event without losing a set.
And he lost just 33 games over the whole week, a record in the tournament's history. All statistics that bear witness to the Italian's exceptional season.
