Pridankin, former Medvedev coach: "How can I compete with Sinner and Alcaraz?"
Ivan Pridankin, one of Daniil Medvedev's first coaches, having coached the world number 4 during his teenage years, recently spoke to our Russian colleagues at "Championnat". When asked about his ex-protege's prospects for the 2025 season, Pridankin was less than optimistic.
I don't think next season will be any easier. Maybe even more difficult. Because he has a few problems in the game plan, which I don't really know how to solve as a coach. How can I compete with Sinner and Alcaraz? And it will be just as difficult to compete with Zverev.
And I don't see how that can be solved at the moment. His team is probably looking for ways to improve. Staying in 4th to 10th place is the most likely evolution. As for winning a Grand Slam title and moving up to first or second place in the rankings, the question arises. Is it possible?"
