Alcaraz booed: "I didn't say Spain would win the Euro (soccer)".

Alcaraz booed: I didn't say Spain would win the Euro (soccer).

Carlos Alcaraz doesn't only take risks when he's got a racket in his hands. It was after his semi-final against Daniil Medvedev that the Spaniard put himself in the most danger. In the post-match interview, he dared to broach the subject of Sunday's Euro final between Spain and England in front of the English spectators.

The crowd's reaction was swift, with whistles and boos erupting from the stands. The atmosphere was good, but that didn't stop Alcaraz from clarifying his thoughts with a big smile before quickly moving on to another subject.

Carlos Alcaraz: "Sunday will also be a very good day for the Spanish people (whistles and boos from the stands). I didn't say Spain were going to win, I just said it was going to be a really fun day (laughs).

But, for me, the final will be a very difficult match. Lorenzo (Musetti) and Djokovic are playing great tennis. I'm going to watch their semi-final and we'll see who I play against on Sunday."
