Alcaraz: I'm not going to lie, it's difficult to adapt my tennis to grass

Carlos Alcaraz impresses all observers with his ability to master the transition from clay to grass. After winning the French Open last month, he is now in the Wimbledon final, where he will face Novak Djokovic this Sunday.

But the Spaniard brushed aside preconceived ideas in his press conference, explaining instead that he finds it difficult to negotiate this transition well, and that he only manages to do so after many hours of work on the courts.

Carlos Alcaraz: "It takes me hours, days, just to get better on grass. Yes, it's hard. I'm not going to lie.

Going from clay to grass. Everyone saw at Queen's that I didn't play well. I had a lot of work to do. And yes, I decided to stay there because of that, because I need hours on grass.

I need, you know, to train on the grass just to be better or to try to feel as comfortable as possible. But yes, there's no secret, as I've said many times. You have to put in the hours, you have to work at it and believe that it will get better. That's all I've thought about and all I've done."
