Arthur Fils made the most of his status as favourite to reach the last 16 of the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 on Wednesday. The Frenchman put in an excellent performance against Jan-Lennard Struff, winning in an hour and a half (6-3, 6-4) on the Accor Arena's Centre Court.
Very consistent throughout the match, Fils broke early in each set and was then very solid on his own serve. He confirms his excellent form of recent weeks, which has already taken him to the semi-finals in Basel and the title in Tokyo.
In his bid to reach the quarter-finals, the Frenchman, ranked 20th in the world, will face the winner of the match between Alexander Zverev and Tallon Griekspoor, scheduled for just after 7.00 pm (French time).
