Carreno Busta warns Sinner and Alcaraz: "They're still very young".

Carreno Busta warns Sinner and Alcaraz: They're still very young.

The year 2024 was Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner's year, at least at Grand Slam level. While the world number 1 won the Australian Open and US Open, the Spaniard won the French Open and Wimbledon.

So, while many experts see this season as a turning point marking the start of a new era, Pablo Carreno Busta has tempered this prognosis.

Without calling into question the prodigious level of play offered by the two young wolves of world tennis, Carreno Busta, ex-10th in the world and a professional since 2009, explained: "They're still very young, both Sinner and Carlos.

It's clear that they're very good, but we're already taking it for granted that they'll reign for the next 20 years, just as Roger, Rafa and Novak did.

A lot can happen, and it's not easy to maintain the same high standards for so long, as happened this year.

New people can also appear: another very good player can appear four years younger than Carlos, for example.

I don't think the future belongs to these two players alone.

Others will come along to make their task harder, but it looks like these two will be around for many, many years to come."
