Djokovic is not done with tennis: "I'm not thinking about retirement".

Djokovic is not done with tennis: I'm not thinking about retirement.

On the sidelines of his Paris Olympics opener this Saturday against Mathew Ebden (not before 1pm), Novak Djokovic spoke to the press.

Making no secret of his medal ambitions, the Serb was logically asked about Murray's retirement, Nadal's probable retirement and his own. Paying tribute to his two rivals, 'Nole' also reminded everyone that he had no intention of stopping just yet.

Serene, he declared: "I'm aware that with Nadal's retirement coming up and Murray's after the Games, an era is coming to an end. I think my career is also coming to an end, but I believe that there are and will be players capable of shouldering the burden of being the best.

I'm not thinking about retirement, even though I know a lot of people would like me to retire so that this era is really over. But I believe that as long as there's at least one of us left, this era will continue.

I've seen many generations change over the last 15 years. The end is closer than the beginning, but I still love competition and will continue until I don't enjoy it any more."
