Henman: "He'd be an excellent coach".

Henman: He'd be an excellent coach.

Tim Henman, former world No. 4 and old glory of British tennis, was recently asked about Andy Murray's retirement.

Inevitably full of admiration for his compatriot's achievements, Henman discussed Murray's potential future.

While he advises the former world No. 1 to enjoy his loved ones, he could also see him becoming a great coach: "My advice to Murray would be to take his time. He's had a phenomenal career and his wife and four children will want to see a lot more of him.

He can really enjoy it and the list of opportunities for Andy in the future will be huge, and there's no need to rush.

But if you ask me what direction I think he'll go in, I'd say a coaching role.

He has a huge passion for the game, and that's where I'm sure he'll always be involved in some way.

When you think of his tennis IQ, he'd be an excellent coach with a huge amount to offer."
