Humbert criticizes the twelve-day Masters 1000: It's badly managed.

Questioned following Les Bleus' Davis Cup elimination, Ugo Humbert spoke of the overcrowded calendar in remarks relayed by L'Equipe.

In particular, he highlighted the format of the Masters 1000, which he sees as an additional burden on players: "The circuit brings you to this with the race for points.

You have to try to get away from that, even if it's difficult with the compulsory tournaments and the "0" that you have to carry around all year in the event of a withdrawal.

The ATP doesn't manage it very well, I think. Masters 1000 tournaments over two weeks are exhausting.

They tell you you're going to make more money, but it's not true.

You also have more expenses by paying your team longer. And mentally, you spend so much energy that you end up exhausted.

With the balls, the surfaces slowing down, the players all well prepared on the other side, it's getting harder and harder.

For those who qualify for Malaga (Davis Cup finals), you finish at the beginning of December and start again with the United Cup in Australia on December 27...

You finish crimson and you're back for another year. You can't even do a block of training".

This is not the first player to talk about player fatigue.

Players such as Zverev, Tsitsipas and Swiatek have already spoken about it at various press conferences.
