Chardy on Humbert: "He's become a friend and I'm happy to be able to help him".
Jérémy Chardy, Ugo Humbert's coach, was asked about his relationship with his player by Tennis Actu. They've been working together for over two years, and Humbert has made great strides since then.
Chardy is delighted to be coaching the Frenchman: "There's a lot of trust, friendship and respect. That's what helps us to have such a great relationship.
We want to spend time together and win together. Those are the keys to success."
We shared a lot of things together, we shared the same room for three weeks during the Tokyo Olympics, which brought us closer together. We played against each other.
He's become a friend and I'm happy to be able to help him, to share the experience I've had in my career, to try and help him not to make the same mistakes I did, while enjoying these moments together. Being together is a big advantage.
