Majchrzak, suspended in 2022: "I'm devastated and shocked".

Majchrzak, suspended in 2022: I'm devastated and shocked.

The Sinner affair never stops being talked about.

While Sinner's lack of guilt seems to be generally accepted, the circumstances surrounding the handling of the case, and in particular the failure to suspend the Italian for the duration of the investigation, continue to provoke reactions.

Kamil Majchrzak, ranked 168th in the world, recently spoke out on the subject.

Indeed, suspended following three positive tests at the end of 2023, he had to wait 13 months before returning, even though he had proved to have ingested the illegal substance without knowledge or intent.

Visibly upset, he expressed his incomprehension: "A few hours before my first qualifying match at the US Open, I received news from the tennis world which is shocking and extremely painful for me.

I didn't give any details for my own health and mental comfort, but the fact that I couldn't even set foot on a non-private court for most of the duration of my case while others could play normally and realize their dreams in the same situation doesn't give me peace.

I'm devastated and shocked. But as I said, maybe I'm wrong.

Besides, who cares what lower-ranked players think?"
