Moya on Nadal: "Retirement is a well-considered decision on his part".
Rafael Nadal's coach, Carlos Moya, gave his thoughts on the Spanish legend's final Davis Cup tournament.
"Retirement is a well-considered decision on his part, and we've talked about it a lot together. It's not something that comes out of the blue.
On the other hand, the one thing I'm not prepared for is thinking that today could be Rafa's last day in action.
It's a thought that's hard to get out of my head, even though I know that this will be his last week of competition. I hope I'll be here until Sunday.
Everything happens and we're here to celebrate Rafa and thank him for everything he's brought to so many people. I'm behind him all the way and I'm happy to be here," Moya elaborated for the Punto De Break media outlet.
In the Davis Cup quarter-finals, Spain will face the Netherlands. Nadal, who has won the tournament five times, has yet to decide whether or not he will play in the singles.
The coming hours will undoubtedly be a moment engraved in the minds of all tennis fans.
