Mpetshi Perricard gives up on Metz and puts an end to his season

Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard was entered in the draw for the Metz tournament, which starts on Monday, but announced his withdrawal today.

The Frenchman, who had an intense two weeks winning the ATP 500 Basel and playing a 2nd round in Paris, has decided to end his season on this positive momentum. He had already withdrawn yesterday from his doubles match (with Arthur Fils) at the Paris tournament due to discomfort in his right shoulder.

Mpetshi Perricard will thus end his season ranked 30th in the world, after starting 2024 above 200th place.

His withdrawal was announced at the same time as that of Karen Khachanov, who qualified for the quarter-finals in Paris.
