Murray: There was always a sense of guilt.

Retired since the Olympic Games, Andy Murray seems to be coping rather well with the situation.

After an accomplished professional career in which he transformed the "Big 3" into the "Big Four", the former world number 1 spoke to the BBC about his impressions.

Reflecting on the end of his career, he explains that it was difficult to stay away from his family for too long: "What I always found difficult in recent years was that there was always a sense of guilt associated with what I was doing.

If I went away for a three- or four-week trip, I felt guilty about leaving my children at home or being away from my wife for a long time.

But, if I was at home with the kids, I was running around and spending a lot of time on my feet after training.

I wondered whether this would affect my training or my performance the next day, whether I should really stay on my feet or not.

I've found that difficult in recent years."
