Nadal reflects on his rivalry with Djokovic and Federer: "All three of us pushed our limits".
Rafael Nadal was honored last night at a gala event organized by Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, and answered several questions from journalists.
Asked about the toughest players he has faced, Nadal unsurprisingly mentioned two well-known names:
"I'd say Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, it's hard to choose. My career is linked to these two players, all three of us have pushed each other to improve.
I think it's fair to say that one of us, without the other two, wouldn't have reached the numbers that the three of us have.
In a way, we've pushed ourselves to the limit in every sense of the word. Physically, it hurt us, but in terms of our tennis and mentally, it enabled us to reach a higher level of demand.
And that's why we've been able to have such a long career."
