Djokovic explains his annoyance with the public: "There was a moment when I had to respond"

Novak Djokovic, the solid 3rd round winner over Tomas Machac at the Australian Open, celebrated his victory by provoking a few spectators at Rod Laver Arena.

Annoyed by the behavior of some fans during his match, the record holder of titles in Melbourne explained in a press conference why he was so upset:

"Some people crossed the line. I understand that you can have a few more drinks, but on court, it's frustrating and it comes at a bad time.

If it goes on for an hour, and someone says things you don't want to hear, and it's constant provocation, there comes a time when you respond.

I tried to tolerate it, but there was a moment when I had to respond."
