Osaka announces her separation from the father of her daughter

Naomi Osaka has announced her separation from American rapper Cordae, with whom she had a daughter.

She said in a statement on Instagram, "Hello everyone, I wanted to let you know that Cordae and I have broken up.

There's no animosity, he's a great person and an amazing dad.

Honestly, I'm glad our paths crossed because my daughter is my biggest blessing. Our past experiences have made me grow a lot."

Osaka is expected at the Australian Open, after a final in Auckland, lost by withdrawal, due to an abdominal injury.
