Engaged in Tokyo this week, Holger Rune confided in a press conference.
After a 2024 season that fell far short of expectations, the Norwegian indulged in a little sporting introspection.
Disappointed but not demotivated, he explained: "I can only concentrate on where I am now and look to the future. It wasn't exactly the best season.
I can be proud of the work I've done, but I'm not satisfied with my ranking or anything else, to be honest.
Such is life sometimes, you have to fall down to get up again. I think I've got a good chance of doing something good at the end of the season.
Two big tournaments here and then the indoor part of the season, where I played very well.
I hope to be able to work here and start 2025 with a very good feeling."
