Sinner: "It's going to be a tough game for me".

Jannik Sinner will attempt to reach the quarter-finals of the US Open this Monday. Having made a convincing start to the tournament, the Italian is about to face his first test of the fortnight, against Tommy Paul, ranked 14th in the world.

Buoyed by an enthusiastic home crowd, the 27-year-old American is determined to upset the plans of the world number 1, who some already see as holding the trophy in his hands.

Interviewed in the press conference, Sinner is expecting quite a fight: "It's going to be a great challenge. He moves very well on the court. He's improved a lot recently.

It's going to be a tough challenge. He plays excellent tennis, especially here in America, so it's going to be a tough match for me.

But I hope I'll be ready to fight in the best possible way, and I'm looking forward to it.

These matches are very exciting to play and I'm happy to be a part of it. We'll see."
