Woodforde on Alcaraz and his exhibitions: "It's a red flag for me".

Carlos Alcaraz made a splash during the pre-season, playing exhibition matches in the United States, one in New York and the other in Charlotte.

Australian doubles legend Mark Woodforde commented: "For me, it's a red flag. To go to the United States and play matches when he could have been resting and preparing, I'm not a fan.

After playing these matches, it will be interesting to see how he starts the season after this decision."

Alcaraz is not entered in any tournaments before the Australian Open, but will play an exhibition match against Alex de Minaur on January 8 in Melbourne.
