After a hard-fought victory over Arthur Fils in the Round of 16 of the Rolex Paris Masters (6-4, 3-6, 6-3), Alexander Zverev was full of praise for his young opponent (20). The world No. 3 admires the Frenchman's tennis and athletic qualities, and predicts a brilliant future for him.
Alexander Zverev: "Every time we've played (with Fils), they've been top-class matches. He's an incredible player. He's still very young.
He has the potential to become a Grand Slam winner. He has so much power in his groundstrokes, like no one else.
He's a great guy. I wish him nothing but the best. He beat me in Hamburg, my home town. Unfortunately, I regret having to beat him in Paris."
