Zverev: "If I had my brother's volley, I'd be number 1 in the world".
In addition to his current high level of tournament performance, Alexander Zverev is also hard at work preparing for next season. One of his key areas of focus is volleying, which he wants to make a strong point of his game.
To this end, he is benefiting from the sound advice of his brother Mischa, former world No. 25 (2017) and a great specialist in net play. Questioned on the subject, Zverev confirmed that his brother's volleying was an example to follow. He would like to be as good as his brother in this area of the game, to take his tennis to the next level.
Alexander Zverev: "It's something we're working on 100%. I still don't volley like my brother. That's why I'm not number 1 in the world, but number 2 (smile). I still have things to improve for next year. I hope I can do it.
