Zverev on extra training: "I want to be able to compete with Alcaraz and Sinner".
Alexander Zverev, after his victory this Wednesday over Casper Ruud (7-6, 6-3) in the group stage of the ATP Finals, was asked about his extra training sessions after matches, and how long this has been going on.
The German is ambitious: "As I said in Paris, it's not about today, tomorrow or the next match. I already want to improve certain aspects for next year.
I want to develop my game so that I can compete with Alcaraz and Sinner. It's as simple as that. They're the two reference points at the moment. They're the ones winning Grand Slams.
I want to be part of that group. I know they're going to get better, so I've got to keep up."
Zverev will face Alcaraz this Friday, in the final match of his group in Turin at the Masters, decisive for the qualification of both players.
