Zverev overcomes Tsitsipas to reach the semi-finals at Paris-Bercy

Alexander Zverev mastered his match against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarter-finals of the Rolex Paris Masters 2024. The German won without a scare in just over an hour and a half (7-5, 6-4). On Saturday, he will face either Holger Rune or Alex de Minaur for a place in the final.

More than anything else, Zverev was flawless on his serves (70% 1st serve, 79% of points won after his 1st serve, 72% after his 2nd serve). As a result, he needed only two breaks, one in each set, to win. All this with just one break point to defend.

As for Tsitsipas, there are grounds for optimism. The Greek didn't play a bad match, he simply came up against an opponent too strong for him on Friday. But he seems to be on the right track.

In particular, he has regained good physical condition after being hampered by several minor injuries in recent months. And that's just what he needs if he is to get back to playing in the top echelons of the ATP Tour.
