Alcaraz is back!

Alcaraz is back!

Carlos Alcaraz has just won the Indian Wells Masters 1000 for the second year running. Having struggled since last September, the Spaniard is back to his best on the Tennis Garden courts. Following his victory over Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals on Saturday (1-6, 6-3, 6-2), the world number 2 dominated Daniil Medvedev on Sunday to claim the title (7-6, 6-2), in a rematch of last year's final.

Alcaraz initially struggled to get into the match. He lost his serve in the second game and found himself 3-0 down after 17 minutes. But he gradually turned things around, coming back to 3-3 and winning the first set in a tie-break. He was then able to give free rein to his tennis, and Medvedev was unable to keep pace. The Spaniard won 8 of the last 9 games of the match, playing magnificent tennis to win the 2nd set in 27 minutes and clinch the title.

There's no doubt that Alcaraz is back to his best. He is once again capable of beating anyone, and all observers are eager to see what resistance his opponents will be able to put up against him in Miami (March 19-31).

So Alex will beat Nadal in Barcelona and Madrid when he is trying to do a "comeback". The Australian is about to become a national villian in Spain.

Surely Nadal does not lose twice in a row to the same guy? Not in clay anyway
