Alcaraz very reassuring for his French Open debut!

Alcaraz very reassuring for his French Open debut!

After weeks of pain in his right forearm, which saw him withdraw from the Barcelona and Rome tournaments, Carlos Alcaraz made a near-perfect entrance to the French Open. The Spaniard disposed of American Lucky Loser J.J. Wolf in 1 hour 51 minutes and 3 short sets (6-1, 6-2, 6-1) on Court Philippe Chatrier.

The world No.3 was very convincing, dominating Wolf, ranked 107th in the world, in all areas of the game. The only fly in the ointment was a relative inconsistency on his service games (2 breaks and 7 break points conceded out of 11 service games). To find out more, we'll have to wait and see how he reacts against tougher opposition. Perhaps in the second round, against the winner of the duel between Jack Draper and Jesper De Jong.
