Badosa, qualifier:

Badosa, qualifier: "All these things encourage me to keep going".

Paula Badosa is reassured at Wimbledon. Hampered by serious physical problems with her back which, for a time, even made her question her career, the Spaniard has been playing better for some time now.

Quite simply, she has won 9 of her last 12 matches. Wimbledon has been no exception, and after two solid matches, she is set to challenge Daria Kasatkina in the third round.

Quite a challenge, given that the world number 12 seems to be in fine form, as evidenced by her recent title at Eastbourne.

Questioned in the press conference, Badosa began by talking about her own state of form, which she considers rather reassuring: "Of course, it's motivating to get to these kind of advanced rounds. It motivates me to win matches, to feel that my body is doing well, all these things encourage me to keep going.

Right now, I'm very motivated. I think in the last few tournaments I've felt better, I've felt pretty good, so I'm noticing that my level is increasing little by little, I'm very happy."

Asked about her future opponent, she explained that she was expecting quite a challenge: "Playing against Daria (Kasatkina) is always a big challenge. We've played each other many times, we've known each other since we were 10 years old on the junior circuit, so it's always nice to see her so highly ranked, because, in a way, we've grown up together.

I know it's going to be a very tough match - she's been playing very well on grass this season, having just won Eastbourne.

I know it'll be another big test for me, but I'm in the third round of Wimbledon. In the third round of a Grand Slam tournament, this kind of match is what you can expect."

I've never been a fan of Coco as I don't like her attitude on court.

Ridiculous how Coco was so dependent on her 'box'. I think this coaching during the match is a distraction to many players. It has changed the game. And not in a good way.
