Alcaraz celebrates the Bellingham way: "Great victories deserve great celebrations".

Carlos Alcaraz came close to defeat against Frances Tiafoe in the third round of Wimbledon on Friday (5-7, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6, 6-2). Obviously very happy and relieved after the match point, the Spaniard imitated the goal celebration of England soccer star Jude Bellingham to greet the Centre Court crowd.

This may come as a surprise from the Spaniard, a great supporter of his country, especially given that Spain are still in the running for the Euro (they face France in the semi-finals next Tuesday).

But on the one hand, Bellingham plays for Real Madrid, a team of which Alcaraz is an absolute fan. On the other hand, the world No. 3 presented his choice as a nod to the English spectators, since the tournament is being played in England.

Carlos Alcaraz: "I have great respect for Jude (Bellingham). And we're in London, in England. He's English, that's why. I told him that great victories deserve great celebrations."
