Alcaraz confident after 1st-round win at Roland Garros:

Alcaraz confident after 1st-round win at Roland Garros: "I can get back to my best very quickly".

Carlos Alcaraz dominated American J.J. Wolf by a wide margin in his first match of the 2024 French Open (6-1, 6-2, 6-1). In a post-match interview, the world No.3 confirmed the good impression he had made on Court Philippe Chatrier. He explained that, despite his right forearm injury and the lack of competition in recent weeks (withdrawal from Barcelona and Rome), he could soon be capable of playing his best tennis in the French capital.

Carlos Alcaraz: "I don't need many matches to be at my best. I only played 4 matches in Madrid. I'd have liked to play more, but I don't need many to be at 100%. I trained with a lot of top players in Paris this week and my forearm is getting better and better."

"Warns competition"? Lmao. Please tell me you're trolling with this headline. It remains painfully obvious that De Minaur simply isn't a Slam contender. Hell, Alex would need a plethora of injury luck
