Italy is going to bring a hell of an armada to the Paris Olympics!

This year, Italy's Olympic team is shaping up to be pretty scary. It's all but a secret, but the Italian generation is bringing a breath of fresh air to the ATP and WTA circuits.

In addition to Jannik Sinner, the magnificent standard-bearer (world No. 1 and Grand Slam winner at the Australian Open), there are several other very high-level and, above all, very promising athletes. So much so, in fact, that some in-form Italians won't even be able to take part in the Olympic Games.

To accompany Sinner in Paris, Musetti, Arnaldi, Darderi, Paolini, Cocciaretto and Bronzetti will be making the trip as singles players. Added to this list are a number of players selected to play doubles. Sara Errani has been chosen to play doubles alongside Jasmine Paolini, and Vavassori and Bolelli will also be teaming up in the men's event. Another promising pairing is Sinner and Musetti. We're already salivating.

In view of this selection, Italy looks set to win medals on all fronts. Indeed, with the Erani/Paolini pair a finalist at Roland-Garros, Sinner a semi-finalist in Paris and Paolini an unfortunate finalist against Swiatek, the Transalps must already be scaring the other delegations.
